Help - erasing diagonals in convex shapes

how can i delete the diagonal edges, i.e. the diagonals in the each of the grid boxes so formed?

If you want to erase them, use the Eraser tool. I bet you don't really want that, though. Do you?
If I were working with that, I wouldn't want to erase them. I would want to soften them. The Help files are really good on that topic. In fact it is amazing what you can find in the Help files.

played around with soften smooth edges, the diagonals get erased . actually working on a spaceframe thing thats why

Then EEbyRailsToLattice OR EEbyByRails followed by LatticeMaker etc are much more appropriate - read the guidance.

They didn't get erased.

I think what most people have been trying to politely say in most of your threads is, If you try learning the basics first you will do so much better.
Trying to use a plug in before you understand how to do something manually will only slow you down in the future.
