      Hi all,

I'm trying to do some exports from SU but I need them to be at the exports to be at a standard pixel size.

I will be exporting a scene and then running it through Twilight Render to create an alpha mask. These both (obviously) need to be the same dims.

So, is there a plugin or something that enables me to manage the exports, rather than just having the screen size (which on my laptop is a VERY strange rhombus!).

      Thanks as always,

      Lee

Try Sizer. You can search for threads that cover it's use....

I think what you want to do is click on Options in the lower right corner of the dialog box that comes up when you Export your JPG, PNG, etc. In there you can set the image export size to whatever width you want in pixels. The height will follow along. If you resize the drawing window, you can get different proportions.

Thanks guys, I am aware of the export options but there's not control over the size of the export, unless I change the SU window? I'll have a look at work today though.

Thanks Rich, will also investigate Sizer.

Instead of size, then, do you mean shape or height to width ratio?

Well, if you use Twilight Render, you can just set you export aspect ratio to the exact sme as in the SU window (without having it a standard aspect ratio). The two images will align perfectly. Do your PP job as you wish on these "non standard" sizes and when done, crop to whatever aspect ratio you need.

One tip about alpha masks from Twilight: export everything at 2x size (SU output, Twilight render, Twilight alpha mask etc.) to avoid some irregular, white boundary around the alpha mask (this one pixel is hard to decide where to belong - to the black or to the white area).

For more advice, go to the Twilight forums (I know you are an active member there, too). But I remember this particular tip from the suggestion of Fletch or Chris...

                  Gai...

Sorry for the late reply chaps.

Thanks so much for all of your input, I really appreciate it. I'm sorted now after a meeting with the web people, I'm exporting (as Gai suggested) high res images via SU, TWR and TWR alpha mask and the web geeks are over the moon with that, so that's good enough for me.

                    Thanks again.
