Hello all. First post here so be gentle.

I’ve been browsing the forum for the past few weeks and making use of some the excellent plug-in and resources posted up here. I’ve been trialling VfSU in our office and am trying to convince the senior directors that it is a product worth purchasing but I have one question about the floating license that I’d like clarifying.

Am I right in thinking that we could purchase a ‘floating license’ which we could use across our office network rather than individual licenses for each computer? Does this cost more? I also assume that the license can only be in use by one computer at any one time.

      Thanks in advance!
      Karl

Yes. We use two floating licenses at the office.
The problem is, once VfSU is installed it loads with SketchUp every time. Which means the first user to start SU grabs the VfSU license.
I wrote a plugin, V-Ray Toys, which allows you to run VfSU off by default and only load it on demand - where it'll only be loaded for that session.

          Thanks for your reply thomthom.

Really enjoying learning the software and whilst my first attempts don't match up to some of those on here, I'm pretty pleased! Hopefully I'll be able to keep learning and contribute more to the forum in the future.
