I've recently begun to transfer from ACAD to Sketchup up (with very positive reaction from clients). Typically thought, my first brief requires models I can't find inthe 3D Warehouse! Specifically I need an Iveco Daily van. Is there anywhere else I can search - my Skecthup skills don't extend to modelling my own just yet.

There are several other websites offering 3d models, if you have Pro you can import other additional formats too.
Some are pay and some free.
E.G. here are some pay ones...
        This one is $20 http://www.fallingpixel.com/iveco-daily-3d-model/7383
        This one is $30 http://www.turbosquid.com/FullPreview/Index.cfm/ID/396562
        This one is $40 http://benq72.3dexport.com/img-iveco-daily-5734.htm#ad-image0
        This one is $50 http://www.turbosquid.com/3d-models/maya-iveco-daily/388669
        This one is ~$60 http://www.cgshape.com/delivery-van.html
This one is $109 [in UPS livery] http://www.creativecrash.com/marketplace/3d-models/vehicle/c/ups-delivery-van
        This one is $250 http://www.3d02.com/Van_Collection_3ds_3C00379.aspx?mid=9740
...So it really pays to shop around... The cheaper ones will be less detailed, BUT if they are not to be used in the foreground they'd probably work OK anyway... Also you will normally what to avoid too many polygons/textures as it will slow processing to a crawl...

        Google is your friend...

Note that Alan Fraser [who is a member] here has FormFonts.com which has many excellent models in SKP format - again some of them are freebies, or you can have a subscription and download pretty much what you want thereafter... I don't think he has an Iveco Van [yet], BUT I know that he does custom models too...

Also - this site sells blueprints for ~$15 that you can use for making your own models [when you gain confidence] http://www.the3dstudio.com/product_search.aspx?id_category_0=359&search=IVECO+Daily+van

Thanks for your reply, help & support Tig - my apologies for not getting back sooner... clients suddenly can't throw enough work at me! I looked at the models mentioned but was advised they may not convert from 3Ds max properly & being only my 2nd Sketchup project I played safe. In the event the dilemma pushed me into learning to make a simple Sketchup model myself, (with reasonable result & happy client).
I've been producing 3D models for exhibitions for 10 years+ in AutoCAD (albeit a bit antiquated) & only this year transfered to Sketchup. So far the reaction has been excellent (hence the additional work) & the programme is proving to be everything I've been looking for ... wish I'd transferd sooner. The tutorial videos & support from groups like SketchUcation is just the cherry on the top! Thanks!
