Flat plan to cylinder
-
Hey guys, new poster here but I hope to participate in further discussions!
So here is the deal: I can't seem to figure out how to take a flat set of blueprints and then wrap them around or into a cylinder of a certain length and diameter. I have looked far and wide and I can't figure out how to do it.
Any ideas on how one might accomplish this?

Turn Hidden Geometry 'On' to see the faces on the cyclinder
Paint your texture on one face
Sample that face with Alt+Paint Bucket
Then paint remaining faces

Rich's method is perfect if your blue prints are in an image format and can be applied as a texture. If you've got a SketchUp drawing instead, you might want to look at Chris Fullmer's Shape Bender.
