I don't know how this could be a bad thing. Reduced population would be less of a drain on natural resources, reduced likelihood of famine, reduced CO2 emissions, more room for nature to come back. Great for the environment! Doesn't seem like much to fight over anymore. Less people = less disease vectors, so plague isn't likely. Huh, starting sound like this could be the best thing ever!

And he does offer a 10 year window for being raptured, not just the specified day...not that that increases the likelihood any.

Nah, I know the kind, even after a disaster like a tornado, earthquake, tsunami they are never mad at God, they strangely enough thank him for surviving instead. If you [re]read the 'small print' in the barmy Revelations 'interpretations'... the 'end' started yesterday [with all of the 'chosen ones' going up to heaven etc - obviously it seems that there were not many 'chosen'
]... then the 'ending' continues for another five months of 'torment' for the rest of humanity [i.e. I think that seems to be virtually all of us]... until it all goes poof! on 21st October !
The 'torment' looks like it'll be 'back to normal' then...
But then at least there's no need to buy Christmas presents this year
