I don't know how this could be a bad thing. Reduced population would be less of a drain on natural resources, reduced likelihood of famine, reduced CO2 emissions, more room for nature to come back. Great for the environment! Doesn't seem like much to fight over anymore. Less people = less disease vectors, so plague isn't likely. Huh, starting sound like this could be the best thing ever!

To be fair, he makes no secret about being an atheist. (Well, why would he...I guess that guarantees he doesn't have a Golden Ticket)
And he does offer a 10 year window for being raptured, not just the specified day...not that that increases the likelihood any.
I guess the reasoning is that 10 years from now, when the policy finally runs out, they'll have forgotten all about it.
