Fwiw..For array, you can put the number first followed by the x.

True. Since I also teach SketchUp, I've left X alone to be able to show that it works both ways.

Follow Me tool - I used the letter %(#FF4000)[W]'. I was going to use F' but that is already assigned to the offset tool...

Well, I do have F for and since it had originally been assigned to , I changed that to O. O is originally assigned to Orbit but since I use the Middle Mouse Button for that, I do not need a shortcut (or icon as a matter of fact) for that tool.

As U' is not assigned to anything I have used it for the offset tool. The icon is a lot like the letter U' anyway. This freed up `F' for follow me and as W is no longer used I have assigned it to Weld.

            W is weld
            X is eXplode
            H is hidden geometry
            O is offset
            S is Fredoscale
            And on and on......

I never could understand assigning h to hand and o to orbit by default? But I'm not complaint as GSU allow it all to be muddled around.

There's even a secret plugin that shows your shortcuts onscreen in a kind of rolling reel. You see your last few key presses with tool listed πŸ‘

I use "W" to do "Zoom to Window". I use the key combinations Alt+Left and Alt+Right to go to Previous View and Next View, since these are the hotkeys for previous/next page in my web browser.

Don't forget about using Windows accelerator shortcuts - pressing Alt activates the menu in SketchUp, and some options can be quickly toggled using them. Some I use frequently:

                Alt-c, a = Camera Perspective/Parallel
                Alt-v, a = Toggle Axes
                Alt-v, h = Toggle Hidden
                Alt-v, g = Toggle Guides

I have these setup as shortcuts. My goal is to keep the most common ones accessible easily by my left hand so my mouse hand (right) can stay on the mouse as much as possible.

                v - Move Tool
                Shift A - Protractor (A for Angle)
                Shift D - Delete
                Shift-X Explode
                s - PushPull
                p - Preferences
                i - Model Info
                h - Hide
                Shift-H - Unhide All
                d - Dimension Tool

                Hi

i have my standart modeling tools assigned to mouse buttons in combination with "shift", "strg" and "alt" (the mouse buttons no.3-5 have assigned the function keys "F3", and "F8" and "F10")
I can select them nearly without thinking. It's more like finger gestures that happen automatically.
The resulting combinations are at the moment:

                  F3..........................pointer/select
                  F3+shift.................push/pull
                  F3+ctrl...................mirror selection (plugin)
                  F3+alt....................line
                  F8..........................move
                  F8+shift.................rotate
                  F8+ctrl..................scale
                  F8+alt...................rectangle
                  F3+shift+ctrl..........tape measure
                  F3+shift+alt...........circle
                  F8+shift+ctrl..........fredo scale - box scaling
                  F8+ctrl+alt............follow me
                  F3+shift+ctrl+alt....paint bucket
                  F8+shift+ctrl+alt....offset

                  and some keyboard only:

                  ^............................reverse face
                  X............................toggle x-ray
                  Q............................remove all materials
                  H............................toggle hidden geometry
                  G............................make group
                  G+shift...................make component
                  v............................field of view
                  z............................zoom extends

                  T+shift+ctrl............uv-frontface to backface
                  T+shift+alt.............uv-backface to frontface
                  T+shift+ctrl+alt......delete backside material

                  and some standart shortcuts like
                  shift+ctrl+v............paste in place
                  T/F/L/R/B/P ..........for the views

Hey guys I brought my self a wireless mouse it has multiple buttems, however I would like to assign these bottems to different commands, I go to shortcuts and click on the mouse bottem but nothing happens.

The mouse didnt come with any software, however in google chrome two of these bottems are used for back and forward.

I also have a 6th button under my mouse scroll, I tried x-mouse but there isnt an option for it. So I probably need to find another program.

What kind of mouse did you buy? You'll probably need to have some sort of settings for those buttons in the OS before you can assign any shortcuts.

What OS are you using and what version of SU? Most people put that info in their profiles.

Its ok Im using a cheap argos wireless mouse, its surprisingly really good. Apparently the top button is the DPI button and cant be changed. so I will be just using xmouse for the two side buttons.
