You need to choose a file with .suclock extension, not skp.

Thanks for that.
I had worked it out and felt rather stupid not realising the skp extension. However it would be nice to have the option to edit the session time or add session times for additional things such as Photoshop PP etc...

The only thing you can do currently is to export to Excel and then add other duration items.
SUClock is only aware of the activiy in SU and the Ruby API does not allow making a difference between being idle in SU and being in another applications.Fredo

Hi Fredo6,
I just downloaded your SUClock plugin and would love to try it out but when I try to attach an existing file (after clicking the little clock icon) to it I get the image attached.
I also tried attaching different files, and tried to attach a new project and get the same results.
I have Macbook Pro, OS X, 10.7.5 and plenty of power behind it.
Any thoughts? Solutions?
Thanks,

The files created and manipulated by SUClock have extension .suclock, not .skp. Please refer to the documentation.

hello. I have a problem with suclock. I installed everything and when i turn on the program and press the clock icon nothing happens, no icon like this http://sketchucation.com/forums/download/file.php?id=67045 have you got some idea for this problem?
-
Perhaps you missed installing LibFredo6?
-
Of course I installed LibFredo...
-
How did you install them? Exact steps, please.
-
well...first I downloaded Fredo6_SUClock - v1.5a - 27 Nov 13.zip and LibFredo6 5.4b. Then I unzipped both files and put them to the folder: Program Files (x86)\Google\Google SketchUp 8\Plugins. After that I ran the sketchup and It was white small clock icon like this http://jroot.sketchucation.com/pluginrepo/image/SUClock.png When I clicked this icon opened a window with project 'Tracking of the Model in Project' and I tried to use 'Attach to New Project' or 'Attach to an existing Project' and finally when I clicked 'done' nothing happened. I think that then should be small icon http://sketchucation.com/forums/download/file.php?id=67045 to time count. I don't know what i'm doing wrong....

The plugin clearly works in SketchUp 8 so it must be something on your end. Historically, the most common reason that plugins fail to work correctly when installed from the ZIP file is that the user extracted the contents incorrectly and destroyed the file structure. This is the reason for the RBZ files for plugins. Go into the Plugins folder and delete all of the files and folders related to this plugin. Download the RBZ file and use Install Extension from Preferences>Extensions to install it. Then try the plugin again.
Even better would be to install the Sketchucation PluginStore and use it to automatically install plugins.

I'm having a similar problem. I am using a Dell Precision T3400, running Windows Vista Business SP2, with Sketchup 14.1.1282.
I have deleted old versions of SUclock and LibFredo, and re-installed fresh versions of both of these from Sketchucation just yesterday. The installation seemed to go normally. When I open a new file and save it, I can then use SUclock normally. If I then close the file and re-open it, when I click on the SUclock icon, nothing happens. If I select all entities, copy them and paste into a new file, the SUclock will work (the first time). After saving and closing, the SUclock will not work.
Any tips on how to fix this?

Could you open the Ruby Console and check if there are messages when launching SUClock.
Thanks

Nothing at all shows up in the Ruby Console windows.

NEW RELEASE: SUClock v1.7a - 24 Oct 14
SUClock 1.7a fixes a major bug which was introduced as a side effect of the load-on-the-fly approach of LibFredo6 6.2 and above. Basically, the clock would not display automatically if you open straight a file which is tracked (unless you open first a web dialog box in my scripts)
The good news is that the time was properly tracked for the models. So you won't lose any data normally.
