      Hey,

I'm new to the V-ray plugin and I have this silly question... Are there any vray optmized components? I'm aware that the final render depends also on the VISOPTs, not only on the materials, but I was wondering if there was any way to get simple components like chairs, tables, etc which already include the v-ray materials...

      thanks!

There aren't any places where you can download components with vray materials already applied.

Even if there was, I have found vray materials don't always show up if you paste them into a new model (might have to do with how the materials are pathed locally).

The latest build 1.49.01 will not let vray materials come over with a component if you copy or import the file in. So you are hosed even if you found a resource, which I have not yet found one. Flyingarchiecture.com has some good stuff, but it's modeled for Rhino w Vray, but they share the same material files and I believe he has 3DS files of his models, so you could import them into SU and reapply the materials.
