Modeling a bathtub:How do I get 2 different sections to meet
-
I am trying to model this Toto bathtub. I am puzzled as how to get the different section profiles to meet properly at the corners.

Anyone have a suggestion?
Much appreciated!!!
Cheers,
Wm

Because it's a relatively simple shape and draw well in CAD you can easily edit the plan and two main cross-sections to add faces to the actual cross-section and use PushPull to make extrusions of them bigger than they need to be.
Group each one.
Arrange the groups so they correctly intersect and select geometry in one and use the Intersect tool to cut it withe the others.
Repeat process until the forms all intersect fully.
Explode all three into one group.
Erase the unwanted parts and you should now have the required shape - you will need to do some tweaking of shapes etc but it's a good start... -
First, always get rid of any symetrical pattern, all that is symetrical can be cut in 2 and reassembled later ...
