The easiest way to fix blurry fonts in Firefox 4 is to install the Anti-Aliasing Tuner add-on. From there, you should just be able to turn on ClearType rendering for all fonts and fix the problrem.
Have you tried this?
-
yup. I did the even easier fix.
use Firefox 3 or Chrome - which has hardware acceleration but no issues with simple font rendering.

No matter how I am trying to adjust the UI to my neeess, every time I restart FF 4 it reverts back to its default.
I am not going to spend 20 minutes every time to get my usual buttons and toolbars to their needed place.

Ooh - now I can make a group for Sketchucation, Twilight and Thea! Nice tip.
Speed Dial plugin does grouping on steroids.
I've been a FireFox user "forever", but my initial impression of 4.0 is: it's confusing
UPDATE
It's not confusing: I was confused. FF4 in everyday use now and looking forward to the grouping capabilities. -
I don't like the new version. The newer, sleeker look seems to be simply a case of ditching most of the menu items and icons. Whatever happened to one-click Reload? And my search box has stopped working...at least the suggestions have...I have to type out the complete search term every time, even if it pops up as a suggestion, because clicking on the pop-ups does nothing at all. This is all very basic stuff which is totally screwed up. I may be switching to Chrome.

Alan,
You can customize the toolbar to get the reload back. I found it screwy, but eventually got something similar to previous. My search seems to be working fine.

I just installed FF4 - nice appearance, but a little disappointed in loading time. I guess I was too used with Chrome. Other bad side is a lot of "not responding" ... if cpu is a little busy, FF gets unresponsive.
I'll stick to Chrome for a while
