Refreaction
-
Hey,
It might sound weird, but I would like to create transparent material, that looked from 0 angle would NOT be transparent, but viewed from angle of 30 degrees or more would be transparent. I guess it has something to do with refraction index, but I have no idea how to change it to get the result.
Anyone can help?

Hi Zuzanna,
I guess you are using some kind of rendering engine for this, am I right? If so, what is that?
(If not, you cannot do reflections in native SU).

You can't do reflections or refractions in Sketchup - just basic coloring, textures and transparency; BUT several rendering tools can help you - e.g. Twilight lets you assign 'reflective' and 'refractive' properties to materials in Sketchup [there are several ready made glasses, crystals etc available] however; the changes are not noticeable in the SKP BUT when you render the view in the Twilight pane it will then look as hope...

sorry!
I am using v-ray ;] thats what I meant!

Okay. We have a V-ray subforum down on the index page - I am moving your topic there for better exposure now.
(I do not use V-ray myself but I know that reflections/refractions can be done there of course)
