Making interactive 360 degrees videos
-
I found this tutorial to make interactive panoramic video's with Pano2VR, which I aready have. But now I have to find a way to automate the CubicPano out-plugin, to make pictures for each frame. Does anybody know if there's a way to do this?

Yeah, we can make that easy enough. What exactly so you need? Cubic pano out writes out 6 images, correct? You would just need it to write out 6 images for every frame of the sketchup animation, right?

Yeah, I think so. If I understand the tutorial correctly I have to make a 360 pic for every frame, reframe them to the video-format, convert them to video and then reframe the video to a interactive video-swf-file. The only thing is I don't have QT pro, as they use in the tutorial. So I have to find similar (freeware) software to convert the picture sequence to a video. I assume that won't be a problem.
It would be a cool experiment! -
Virtual Dub will convert sequenced images to video.

Go put on some pants.

Cubic pano out plugin will create an image (and optionally a scene) for each 6 sides of a cube you are "inside". All you have to do is to stitch these images together in an external application (a lot easier than how you described). What platform are you on? (It would be worth adding your OS and SU version to your profile). I do not have QT Pro either but could make a panorama in about 5-10 minutes (depending on export size).

Hi Gaieus, it ain't about making a panorama, it's about making a sequence of panoramic pictures. In other words it will be an interactive panoramic video. See the example in my first post (and your reaction).

A damn, sorry. I even posted after your first post. Really sorry about that.

Hi JAP,
I found this topic 4 years after you opened it. Did you find a way to make these 360 degrees videos in your sketchup model? Is there now some rendering programs able to do that? My purpose is to use this video with a VR headseat device like cardboard or oculus.
Thanks!
