Snap points when moving components

When i move a group then sometimes i wish to move it exactly from the middle, like for example a line from the middle. Is there a way to have such a snap point in a group? -
Activate Move, hover over the approximate middle of the grouped selection, and you should see a tooltip popup saying "midpoint in group". The only difference is that it will not be the aqua colored inference dot that you would see in ungrouped geometry.
If you meant something having to do with the Centroid, or Center of Gravity of a volumetric selection, there is are plugins involving this as a possible snap point. I think TIG did something on this. -
There are several tools available to add a cpoint at the geometric center of an instance's bounding-box, or a faces 'centroid' or [like mine] an instance's center-of-gravity...
