See this webcam image with our main square (the Christmas tree is already up - time to get some hot, spicy, boiled wine...)

Well, not the whole country but we are in the warmest spot with some sub-Mediterranean climate here (you know, fig trees, pomegranate etc.)

Csaba, have you got room for me to move in with you?

We got about 18" of snow over the weekend. I'd have taken the photo from the lower level window but you can't see out them because of the high drifts.

We do not get so much throughout the whole winter!

With so much downtime in Minnesota, it amazes me that it is such a bustling economic center. 😄
Perhaps the climate extremes have generated a great deal of problem solving?

What do you mean, "downtime"? We don't get to hibernate. We end up working all that much harder.Get up early, shovel snow, go to work, come home, shovel snow... 😄

Well, for us it would have to be rain shovels! 😆
What comes first for you--milk the cows or shovel the snow? Gotta make the cheese.

You gotta be able to get to the cows before you can milk 'em. 😄

The amazing thing with all this snow is it was probably the equivalent of a couple or three inches of rain.

Depending on conditions, 1 inch-2.54cm of rain equals 10 inches-25.4cm of snow. I think I prefer the rain, although the snow has an aesthetic appeal from a distance 💚

I like it from a distance, too. 😄

We got our first snow on Sunday. Big puffy flakes at times but nothing stuck. Odd really because for the past 4 days or so the temp has not been above freezing.

i don't mind the snow or even cold temps for that matter.. it's that damn winter wind i can't stand.

About that snow here in Minnesota...this happened Sunday morning:

Most people stayed at home from Friday night til Sunday afternoon when the plows cleared the streets. We've had 4' drifts with -25F wind chills temps...and its not even officially winter for another week!
