How Many Susans Can Your Computer Do?
-
SU splats with shadows, thanks Pete

-
i m afraid to orbitand mine is Brice

-
good heavens...

now... make them all work on SketchUp...
-
I tried to double it to 100 thousand and got a shutdown, not even a splat, SU just ceased working...

-
Once I had 300 000 000 components (not Susan). With only 1GB ram - and SketchUp layers.
-
I guess girls have more curves, edges in this case:-)

Just wait (long). Often SketchUp looks like not responding but in fact it is still working: http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=d661c13436861c968d1fe8cdc415f4c5
(you would need to download it. 3D warehouse neither managed to process the correct preview image nor a collada file nor the swivel view) -
I got to 100,000. While Sketchup still "works" I wouldn't say that its really "working"
I can orbit, but there is about a second delay when I do.

Faces: 38 000 00
Triangles: 97 400 000@krisidious said:

100,000
pretty slow... to even snag a screen pic.
dell m6400. not exactly a high horsepower machine.i did explode the original and made a new component with 'face camera' off.

-
orbited slowly @ 100,000.
almost made a 100k selection.
and then 'sketchup has stopped working'.!!
no 200k for me.

No need to explode for that. You can change the component properties from the Component Browser.

i think it's just a matter of how long you're willing to wait.. going from 100,000 to 600,000 took around 40 minutes.
-
nice Jeff... how many did you select at the largest copy?

100,000 was the most selected at once.

My result was 10,000 Susans (on a MacBook pro). Can you do better?
nah, you can do more than that.. those 600,000 susans are on a mbp also..
-
YES!!! ONE MILLION!
I cheated a little
I used guide points instead of Susans. and I kinda grouped them together as well.
