-
Ouch, stop that.
Sorry I did not see yours.Actually I paid Edson, Watkins and Frederik to reply
-
I really was going to reply to Rich's. I just didn't feel very motivated
-
I read the title and assumed it was another Hurling thing, so never even bothered.

A couple of months ago my wife and I went to the AIA National convention in Miami. One of THE high points of the three days of predictable and technical seminars was the keynote talk given by Daniel Pink. His address covered Fred's video and a bit more. Got to speak to him for a few minutes at a book signing later that day -- really nice guy, for a lawyer
He has two books that I suggest as really good reads -- A Whole New Mind (why right brainers will rule the future) and "DRiVE" (The Suprising Truth About What Motivates Us) which is the long version of the video.
The convention center is in the Art Deco district which was enjoyable. Was nice to experience the Miami preservation spirit. Was hoping to see the very cool CSI-Miami office building, but alas, that building is the Federal Aviation Agency Credit union building outside of Los Angeles, where most of that series is shot by the way. Hollywood.

I think you meant:
Hollywood.
Seriously, I love the film making process. I tried to write my thesis on Narrative based design (writing the story of the landscape, then storyboarding it into a design - sort of like Hollywood storyboarding). I got laughed out of my department.

Rolling eyes for tricking me into going to the wrong coast to see a building that wasn't there. Actually I did research on the CSI building ahead of time, went to Miami anyway. Was well worth it

Chris, you'll probably like this, a fine example of storyboarding in architecture

even seinfeld was shot in LA..
a weird one though, that i truly can't understand, is this movie:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1718158/@unknownuser said:
A drama that follows three adults during a single day in Los Angeles, one filled with sex, drugs, and indecision.
i'm at the coffee store the other day and notice keanu standing there.. checked the no parking signs on the block (they have the production name on them) which led me to imdb and for the life of me, i can't figure out why they're shooting a movie about LA in NYC.. i can understand it happening the other way but...
[edit]- oh wait, imdb has been updated somewhat so it now at least mentions new york in part of the tag instead of just the filming location..
[edit2] - or maybe it's just that the main storyline on imdb is screwed up and it's actually a story about 1 day in nyc?
