FM Textures not showing
-
When i make a model with loft by path for instance and i texture it with a nice texture, then something strange happens.
When i export my modell to kerkythea the texture gets a FM for his name and after rendering there is no texture to see. Can anyone tell me what is the problem, or do i something stupid

Have you got the texture on the back of the surface ?
It won't show up as rear-materials aren't imported/rendered
View it in MonoChrome Mode [with a strongly contrasting back_material in the Style] to see it.
If so you can use one of my tools to fix it - 'Fix Reverse Face Materials' - http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?p=264134#p264134 -
TIG,
Why is it then that this problem only occurs when i use PIPE ALONG PATH or LOFT by Spline etc etc
I have attached a file where the front is made by myself, and the back is made with pipe along path.

It is also strange that the texture witch filename (example) giraffe is, after exporting to Kerkythea the name FM_Giraffe gets.
Why is there the FM, and how do i get rid of it.
My texture is good on the front face and not on the backface

Without the file and more info I'm not sure what the problem is, let alone a solution...
Does the texture apply properly 'by hand'.
PipeAlongPath does little more than a FollowMe along a path, using a circular face... so making the exact same 'pipe' with the tool OR entirely 'by hand' should make a surface that will take the material the same way??
Are you using a 'projected' material ?I assume the 'FM_' perhaps means 'Front_Material'_ ?

TIG,
After your info i tested a lot, and i have the solution.
When i make the pipe along path, i must reverse faces, but i forget before that to explode the group. Then the faces are not reversing. So it works now i have learned another lesson today.
And FM in Kerkythea means Face Me.But without your answer i would still searching for an answer, so i would like say to you is my thanks.
