Indeed, Google Sketchup Viewer 8 expected... right now I had a bad surprise when I installed it and was version 7.1.
Maybe somebody from Google is reading this and... โ˜€

Instead of SketchUp Reader, it would be cool to have the model password protected and open read-only in SketchUp free.

            Hi

Yeah right... and to stay and explain to every client to not be afraid of buttons ๐Ÿ˜†
Sketchup viewer is good for st*pid clients... just install and use Orbit and Pan ๐Ÿ˜„
A kind of portable Sketchup Viewer would be even better, so the client doesn't have to install anything... or, to go on with my fantasy: a built-in file (sort of export from sketchup and - voila !) viewer ๐Ÿ’š

Yes, indeed. A viewer and file combination that cannot be disassembled but can be run on any computer (regardless of OS - maybe even linux ๐Ÿ˜’ )

                Gai...

Can you do some magic, so a guy from Google to "accidentally" read this topic? ๐Ÿ’š .. who knows what might happen next ๐Ÿ˜†

I have accidentally sent a link to this topic to some Googlers already. Just hang on. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I doubt that Google will ever do something like that. More, they doubt too ๐Ÿ˜†

โ€œDesktop Linux users should be able to run a native port of SketchUp on their distro of choice.โ€
We hear this request all the time, but realistically weโ€™re not likely to ever make a version of SketchUp that runs as a native client application on Linux. However, SketchUp can be run effectively on Linux using Wine, and weโ€™re keen to improve that where it is practical to do so.]
