Sketchup Viewer 8?

Any Googlers out there? Is the SU Viewer going to be updated?

Indeed, Google Sketchup Viewer 8 expected... right now I had a bad surprise when I installed it and was version 7.1.
Maybe somebody from Google is reading this and... -
Instead of SketchUp Reader, it would be cool to have the model password protected and open read-only in SketchUp free.

Yeah right... and to stay and explain to every client to not be afraid of buttons
Sketchup viewer is good for st*pid clients... just install and use Orbit and Pan
A kind of portable Sketchup Viewer would be even better, so the client doesn't have to install anything... or, to go on with my fantasy: a built-in file (sort of export from sketchup and - voila !) viewer -
Yes, indeed. A viewer and file combination that cannot be disassembled but can be run on any computer (regardless of OS - maybe even linux )

We hear this request all the time, but realistically weβre not likely to ever make a version of SketchUp that runs as a native client application on Linux. However, SketchUp can be run effectively on Linux using Wine, and weβre keen to improve that where it is practical to do so.]http://sketchupdate.blogspot.com/2010/10/thanks-for-your-sketchup-ideas.html
