Plugin Load Error!!
-
There are clearly multiple problems...
The first part says you are missing some files normally loaded by files in the ../Plugins/Examples/ ...
Looks like 'sketchup.rb
' isn't getting loaded from the ../Tools/ folder - is it there ???
Fix those and we'll move onto the rest... -
I extracted the files to my desktop and then moved them into my C Drive folder after they were extracted. I haven't had this problem until a couple of days ago.

sketchup.rb is in the tools folder.. not the plugins folder
[or should be there ] -
I see a
tt_selection_toys
folder - that is not correct. Should beTT_Select_Toys
The footprint should be
<Sketchup>/Plugins/

tt_selection_toys.rbI'm guessing the other errors are also due to incorrect folder arrangement.

yeah, for instance.. all those fredoscale files are supposed to be inside a folder called FREDOSCALE_Dir_20..
not sure what you have going with that folder "Curviloft 1.0c and LibFredo6 3.5c "some of the TOS files are out of their folder as well.. (FreehandOnSurface.rb for instance should be inside the TOS folder..
that's after a quick glance and i'm sure there's plenty more..
it's looking like emptying the whole plugins folder and redownloading the plugins while following install instructions should do the trick

You MUST extract them directly into the <Sketchup>/Plugins folder, while preserving the archived folders (allowing your zip manager to create subfolders in the Plugins folder for every folder embedded inside the zip archive.)

Wow, thanks everyone. Looks like I have some work to do! Am I correct in assuming the best way to do this is to empty the folder and re-download the plugins like Jeff said?
-
YES.. delete the whole folder.
YES.. redownload the zip files IF you erased them.
-
Anyone (smart) will recommend installing ONE plugin at a time. Start Sketchup and make sure it works. Has it's menu items and/or toolbar(s).
Then close Sketchup and repeat.

Thanks for everyones help, it is much appreciated. After a long grueling morning I was able to fix everything!

Hi all,
Had a go at transferring my plugins over to SU8 and am having problems with profile Builder and Twilight. I was very careful to put everything in the exact spot where it was in SU7 plugins folder but obviously not careful enough. My transfer method was copy each and paste into SU8 plugins folder.
Any help would be appreciated.

These error messages are quite helpful - they point you to 'missing files [inside missing folders]'... copy those over too and these errors should cease...
For example...
The 1001 error is probably missing stuff in its folder etc...
You probbaly don't have the Fredo6 'Lib' folders copied etc etc...
You also don't have the Twilight folder copied into the new v8 ../Plugins/ directory etc etc etc...You can't just move/copy the bare Ruby files... IF they have dependent files they are using in various sub-folders [very common in more complex tools] - so you need to move/copy those too [keeping the folder structure intact]............

TIG,
Thanks for the quick response, I will have a closer look this afternoon

Well,
I have everything working except my most valued plugin....Profile Builder. I have messed it up somewhere, it doesn't[/img] work in SU7 now either. Below is a screen shot of the error I get. Any help to get PB up and running in SU8 would be appreciated.
-
Cannot read the dialog. Use ALT+PrintScreen to capture only the dialog. It would read better if it was a png rather than a jpg.
-
Closer image below.

That's a browser error. And the weirdest thing is, that it's an error with one of the browser's internal webpages.
Anyway.. Profile Builder is trying to load a WebDialog, but you don't have the PB html file in the right place, so the browser cannot find it.
The html file is probably in a profile builder subfolder, that is supposed to be in the Plugins folder.Since neither SU7 or SU8 work.. you likely have some of the files, but not all of the files, in each version's Plugins folder.

Thanks Dan, I will take a closer look.

Dan, yep got it all going. Thanks for your help.
