As this post is now six years old and it looks like there are still only two choices for this (linear and cosine), will this possibly be added at some point?

Oh, I didn't see that! And it even is on the last page of the topic... I'm sorry, I just saw it was not yet implemented and did not want to read through all 15 pages, I hope you don't mind.
Sounds great, though, I am looking forward to it.

No worries I'm not even able to keep up with these threads.

Upon purchasing the vertext tools, can I run it on multiple computers I have log-in as sketchup-user?
BR,

The Vertex Tools license is per-user - to use on all your computers.

Hello Thom,
I've just purchased the Vertex tool plugin. I loaded in SU with the Sketchucation importer and....it doesn't work! I close nd re open SU and it appears to me a loading error message on screen. How can I fix it? Please help me to find a way to fix it
I have SU 2015 and Windows 8 pc and various other plugins loaded. Maybe something incompatible? -

It would be useful if you share the exact error message.

What is the Sketchucation Importer?

hi all! just started using this tool and am LOVING it! one thing though. is there any way to enter a scale or distance factor when in gizmo mode? the advantage of this would be that i could scale by half in just one axis rather than all at once. thanks in advance for your tips and this excellent resource!

hm... this should be working... but something seems to be broken.. I need to file this as a bug and investigate. Sorry.

thomthom, I was trying to update my version of vertex tools by downloading the latest version from your site and it keeps getting flagged as a virus.

Achk! This is Windows Defender, right? Windows 10?
Had this issue a couple of releases ago. I submitted the false positive to Microsoft and they updated their definitions.
For some reason Defender freaks out about a JS file used for the webdialogs. It's bogus though.
-
I submitted new reports to Microsoft; https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/security/portal/submission/submit.aspx
I also asked if they could provide any info to why Defender keeps freaking out.
-
thomthom, Windows 7 Professional and Microsoft Security Essentials, if it makes a difference.
-
Can you try downloading from Extension Warehouse? http://extensions.sketchup.com/en/content/vertex-tools
I'm curious if Defender reacts differently depending on what site the file is downloaded from.
-
No issues downloading through the extension warehouse
-
Interesting. I wonder if part of this might be trust based on download source. My website is a rather new one - so possibly that affects things... I dunno. I just hope they come back to me with some insight.

How I can reactivate my license ?Hi. Sorry to hear that.
I need some more information though.
What SketchUp version?
What version of Vertex Tools do you have installed? Also, you are on Windows, right? Windows 7?
Any chance that you are using IE8? If so, then you need to update IE as minimum version for SketchUp and Vertex Tools is IE9.
