No - it uses the OS default HTML render engine, which means IE on windows and WebKit on OSX. Many applications makes use of the IE render engine (note - not the browser itself, just it's core) so it's always worth keeping IE up to date, even if you don't use it as your browser.

okiedokie. I generally do that even though ie is just my emergency backup browser and rarely gets opened. I think I declined the beta version update but I know I had 8 on here.
<--is having way too much fun playing with her shiny new plugin.. getting nothing done -
I added a Facebook page for Vertex Tools: http://www.facebook.com/apps/application.php?id=210840625641340
Will use it to post development updates for those interested. -
I have a copy of this sht, it works great but it needs to delete vertexes! [nondestractive]
-
What's 'sht'?

Can you explain what you mean by this? "Delete non-destructive" - it's an oxymoron - how can you delete something without being destructive?
-
Oh, could it be, erase vertices between co-linear edges, without erasing the edges? If so, that is a feature in the upcoming version 1.1.
-
Awesome. Just playing around with it and had a great bit of fun.
Now that I have a new toy, I suddenly have "writer's block" and can't figure out what to do with it.

When you do, please post back some examples. I'd love to see some.
In the upcoming releases, not just v1.1, I got plans to make it easier and quicker to control the vertices. In addition to soft selection where the falloff is controlled by bezier curve - like 3ds max. -
thanks for developing the tools..
how could i install it? what the difference between rb and rbs files. the rbs's files. is it intended for SU 8?
-
Might be something wrong with your installation. Check your PM - I'll try to help you.

Vertex Tools 1.1 BETA has just been unleashed for the guinea pigs! After they've spun it around in their wheels and broken it sufficiently and I get the website and documentation updates there will soon be a release party!
Coming soon to a computer near you!

No - because it's not released yet. It was just a heads up that it's finally in beta and due to release shortly.

Seems like I heard about those same words about a year ago -

Hugely grateful for all the time you put in bro. You've definitely enhanced my 3D experiences with all your plugins. The gizmo looks great and can only make a perfect thing better.
-
What about the new plugin that you were developing?

That's what, "...it's in beta..." means - i.e. the new version is undergoing testing before you lot get to use it...
