When adding lights, Sun is removed
-
I am currently working in SKP v. 7.1.6860 w/ V-ray v. 01.05.30, and when I add Omni-directional lights to the model, the shadows I was previously getting from the sun disappear. I've checked this by saving before lights are added and the default sketchup shadow settings come up in the vray render, but when lights are added this light source is entirely removed from the rendering. Any help would be great!

You have Default Lights on?
Do you have a Sun/Sky map in your GI environment slot? (I'm guessing no?) -
I have been playing around with that recently, it's just that I am not too comfortable in using the physical camera. Also, in playing with the intensity multiplier settings for the GI, I am getting better results. I guess I just need to tweak the settings to come up with adequate results, I was just hoping that there was an easier way.
Also thank you for your post on my previous thread.

The default light adds a light only if there is no other sources. It then adds a light in the direction from the sun. But as soon as you add another light sources the default light make no effect.
If you want Sun light then you must use the Sun/Sky map in the GI slot.
I've always been using the Physical Camera. The default VfSU setting with the Physical Camera and V-Ray sun has been a good starting point. The thing to remember is that any other light sources must be adjusted. I like the use Lumens as light unit. Depending on the type of light source, usually between 1000-5000 lumens.
