How to make this

Presumably you want the surface detail as well rather than just the shape?
-
yes, I want to use equilateral triangle to make the shape.

Quick study using EEbyRailsToLattice...

Ah - now that makes for a challenge.

Perhaps Longhand + Winowizer4 ??
Here's a short version - repeat the copying/scaling before Windowizing to get the desired form
Incidentally I have discovered that by updating offset.rb to RickW's latest v2.1 [for the face-offsetting in my EEbyRailsToLattice tool] it has now broken his RickW's own Winowizer4.rb - the Array::offset is renamed Array::offsetPoints and it is coded a little differently anyway, so it fails - I am in touch with him to resolve this and have updated the zipped set of Extrusion Tools to include a version of offset that now works with 'everything'...

A faster adaptation of your last method would be to use fredo's box twist ruby to twist the 'cone' then unhide all the linework. Works pretty well

Thinking about it 'mathematically'...

i didn't understand the procedure. can anyone please upload a video?
