Wow, thank you Andy! I am truly honored and grateful.

Here is a link to the tour if anyone wants to see it. I am also going to make the tour into a Youtube video because some of my friends had trouble viewing it...hopefully in the next few days.

Andy, re the next competition, I think it would be helpful to have a detailed tutorial (preferably video, otherwise PDF) available explaining exactly how to make the tour. Even though it was really easy, there were some things I discovered that would have made the process easier had I known about them from the start. Also, have you thought about asking Google to post about it on the Sketchupdateblog?

Thanks again Andy, Mike and all of the judges, and call on me if you want ideas for a tutorial!!

P.S. Thanks for the screenies, Mike πŸ˜„

edit: oops, didn't see Andy posted the link to the tour already

Thanks Rich and Gaieus. I don't mind at all Gai, will do.

I really like how vendors are working with Sketchucation to inform us of their products, it is so beneficial for them and us members alike. Thanks SCF management!! πŸ‘

Here is a video I made of my ICEvision tour, the last picture is a Twilight render. The quality is far less than the original after a screen capture with CamStudio and uploading to YouTube πŸ˜’

Thanks to Earthmover for the shrubs and flowers!

Here is a link if you can't see the embedded video.

I want to again thank ICEvision and Sketchucation for the opportunity to participate in the contest and use their software. I did have good success with smaller models, and I think it will be a nice offering to design firms and organizations to enhance their ideas to clients and/or contractors.

Oh yea, and I LOVE the fidelity of the Space Navigator. I'm still getting accustomed to it. So far I've only experimented in Google Earth and Sketchup, but I already see it will offer an excellent alternate input device. And it looks great in the office with that warm blue ring! πŸ‘

The guys at ICEvision have managed to upload my model of the NCSU Bell Tower in Raleigh NC.

I appreciate their efforts, and it looks like they can definitely get large models into the software.

One caveat that is my fault. When I sent this version, I did not check it thoroughly and it is missing the torches on one face of the tower. That is from my early clumsy attempts to get the poly count down and render it in Indigo.

congratulations, Cyberdactyl, very nice model. How big was the file? Is the blue background a sky dome?

I'm loving my SpacePilot too, its definitely going to help me model faster and its great to fly around in Google Earth as well. πŸ˜„

It's about 38 meg. The background is the generic SU sky.

It's here! Now when you log onto http://www.icevisioncloud.com you are able to add sky domes, spheres and walls with a choice of colors, textures, gradient and even your own images! its so much fun. Infact, the sky you can see in Cyberdactyl's model is ICEvision sky. I'm glad you spotted it! πŸ˜„

and that's not all folks (said in my best tv ad voice)

You can even add your own MP3's to the model! Just remember, if you are going to share them with anyone to not use copyrighted material.

We created a little youtube video as a quick tutorial and to show you how to add the new features. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ANuh7E4sBUc

I think I need to sit down and grab a coffee.. I've got myself a little excited.

oh, and one last thing! If you have a spare moment and use Facebook http://www.facebook.com/pages/ICEvision/253569638605 and Twitter http://twitter.com/icevisionapp , We would really appreciate the support in helping us spread the ICEvision word πŸ˜„
