Is it possible to export the background view from a section slice together with the actual section cut objects?

Section slice is just what it says - a group of 2D geometry which you can export as dxg/dxf with SU Pro.

You could use Zorro2 and SectionCutFace plugins together to be able to export the section slice as well as what's "behind" - note however that Zorro2 will ultimately delete what's (only visually) cut away with the section plane.

Wouldn't that be an Image ?
If you mean 'Slice' the Model at the Section Cut Plane and Erase what's not seen and then Export the rest then Ecuadorian has a Tutorial on that... http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?p=184604#p184604 this uses my SectionCutFace Tool and Zorro followed by some old-fashioned Erasing etc...
To make a 2D flat Export is not so easy if it's not an Image ?

Never mind, TIG - you are invaluable here! πŸ‘
And that we both came to the same solution at the same time is reassuring.
