Rendering Presets / visopt settings

I am am a relatively new user to Vray. and im trying to convince my boss to to purchase it for our company. i have done some images in sketchup, but i am at a lost on how to render with exceptional quality. can anyone send me links or anything to rendering presets they have.??? or visopt settings they have..?? i really need thm to do a phot or two for my bosss so he will buy it for the companyy.. thanx

I don't use preset visopts, but I think there's a couple of threads over at the ASGVis forum. Think there's even some in their download repository.

their download presets arent tht good. i would like one thts eceptional..so it acn reallll make my boss go wow..and want to buy it

A good preset won't help you very much, because some of them are for a special type of lighting situation, for ex. interior, exterior, day night etc. So...you can't just take a preset and push the render button and WOW! And, beyond that, we don't know how much experience do you have with vray, in order to receive advices from more experienced users.
Anyway....try to search through the forum topics, I'm sure you will find something. At ASGVIS I mean.

I downloaded the presets in the asgvis forums but don't know what to do with the files. I created an account there weeks ago, but still can't post for some reason, hence i'm asking here. My standards are much lower than the OP's... I just want to get normal glass reflections and stuff, maybe a little moisture in the air to give the light some volume....

Is it an exterior or interior? What version of SU? I assume the latest.

Too late for this project (deadline is thursday). But for future use I'd like to get some good (low rendering time) presets for both daytime and nighttime renders. Maybe a template sketchup file with working lights that i can fiddle with (cuz i can't seem to get any lights working either). The vray settings I used for my latest renders kept creating blurry shadows in wide open spaces where none should exist.

Low rendering times has no golden formula. What works for one file might not work for another.
As for the lights, you need to adjust the intensity of the lights - especially if you have physical camera on. Personally I prefer to use Lumens as my light units.

Also, I dont know too many people who would give up all their V-Ray secrets for free.
