I'm sure there's some post processing involved in both of those images but as to what was used for that, it would be difficult to say.

As to the edge thickness when exporting, there are two things to look at. First, do you have Profiles checked? The other is at what resolution are you exporting your images? Increase the resolution and the lines will appear thinner.

I'd also guess that at least the first image was (maybe) even processed in some kind of renderer first. There are nice, soft shadows on the building (while only the ones they're casting on the ground seem to be very sharp)

That first image surely is a fantistic looking one!

It certainly is. Good modeling, too!

sketchup_fan, where'd you get that one?

The first image is definitely a post-processed overlay of SU high-res export over a photorealistic rendered image, I'm guessing rendered in V-Ray for SU.

Gaieus' description in his first post describes the process of getting high-res images out of SU perfectly.

I really like the first image a lot, works very well.

That model would look brilliant as a Vue render.

                      Cool.

So as we are over this issue and it turned out to be rather SU related, I hope you don't mind if I move it to the SU Forum. 😉
