[Plugin][$] RoundCorner - v3.4a - 31 Mar 24

Originally I wanted to post PM to you but I could not because the PM function is disabled.
I also waited if author of Selection Manager will reply and repair his stuff to make it working. I needed to save the selection to show you which edges I am planing to work. Without the selection this is useless to write to you. I have no way how to show what I am trying to do exactly. I wanted to use the Round Corners to round corners of the mesh bellow. Now I tried to generate edge 1m offet and 1 side then 2 sides. All works fine.
Now I have added more edges with 3 sides and everything works fine. I obtained information when the offest 1.25 was too much and would create overlaps.
On the mesh I did succesfully 1st floor/elevation. Then I move up +4m few faces and I try once more to round the edges. Some gaps has been created on the second floor. I add the model.
During this test I have not found serious problems.
Previous job what I did was with file which was much more bigger. Same grid 5m spacing 1km x 1km (same texture) worked very slow. The problem was that when I wanted to select the edges manually red arrow suddenly appeared and I clicked it by incident. Because of it I suggest to have possibility - option do turn of some arrows which I do not plan to use. This would be solution for performance problem. With small objects like this there is no serious performance problem so it works nice.

Actually, I installed a last version of libfredo. Ok, anyway. But when try to install RoundCorner v3.2b, the sketchup say to me: "You must install libfredo6 to rum RoundCorner.
Someone can help me about it? Version Sketchup 2015.
LibFredo already installed:

Same error here! :S
Please help!

This may be related to special characters in your username.
Could you replace the attached file in the Sketchup Plugin Directory, and advise if this solves the problem.
Thank you

The tool is working now!
So, once again...
What was the problem? And what have you done?Thank you!

This is related to non-ascii characters in your username under Windows. For whatever reason, even with SU2017, this seems to create some problem when checking folders and files for existence.

Hi everyone. I am trying to use the Roundcorner plugin but i am running into some issues. It seams to work ok but the problem is that the selected edges (to be chamfered/filleted etc) are never visible. Am I doing something wrong. Please advise. Thanks in advance.
UPDATE: All is fixed with the latest version of LibFredo6. Cheers!

Please add 2 functions:
- Offset (without rounding)
- Offset with intersection (toggle)
These functions are necessary for constructing subdivision topology
(I hope you understand my idea, it's hard for me to explain the idea in a foreign language)

(I hope you understand my idea, it's hard for me to explain the idea in a foreign language)There are already extensions available that are designed to do what you are asking. How about using them instead of adding complexity to an existing tool. ThomThom's SubD would be a good place to start.

You did not understand me!
I ask that Rundะกorner add Offset function [highlight=#ff4040:149q787k](Without rounding!)[/highlight:149q787k]
And the function of intersection of edges, for the construction of stiffeners for modeling under SUBDIVISION (google โ subdivision topology) -
Yes. I did understand you. There are already tools that do subdivision in SketchUp.

Those features exist in QuadFace Tools and it is advised here to use as well.
Check below gif.

Check below gif.QFT does not make the offset of the desired edge.
- Offset uneven (See the screen)
- What if you do not have a ring? If there is no ring, the offset is not done!
Check below gif

There was another request for that and it makes perfect sense.
This will come in due time, but no promise.

Yes Yes Yes! @cesaro36 @Hieru They say the same thing as I do! RoundCorner would be an ideal tool, having such such functions. At the moment everything has to be done manually, every day

Following up on the discussion about using RoundCorner for drawing the control mesh of a subdivision, I am interested to understand what would be the 'best' control mesh for the following shapes (also in the SKP file attached, SU2015).
As you will notice, the offset lines do not cross on the edges at the same point.
Thanks

Fredo, I'm no expert at the SubD stuff but had a go at the model you posted. Kept in mind the intent was for rounding corners. Posting your skip. file back so you can better look at what I did. Hope it's helpful in some way.

Such a grid would be quite appropriate
The subdivision does not like n-gon, So some models have to be cut manuallyYes, on some models, the bias lines do not intersect at the edges at the same point. I noticed this too. (screenshot 2)
