Haste makes waste

Thanks Chris, I agree about the one in the front and it looks like a young and and should be much smaller. I'm trying to imitate the pros like on this gallery from Russia.

http://www.archvis.ru/portfolio/exteriors/lot26/Although that is intense modeling on that referenced page, I would say they also have a scale or rendering problem. You can imagine that house as 5' high model in a bunch of bushes.

Yup, none of this is reality we just imagine all of this sizes.
Trees scaled down again and buildings were left untouched because i wanted to use
the roof tiles as a gauge. Each tile is one foot wide in SU.
-
I like those tiles and the stucco textures, they are very clean and even. Are they available for free or are they part of some render package?
-
All these facades without windows are very mysterious!
-
Roof tiles, You can find them here.
http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=20379Texture not included and made with http://www.mapzoneeditor.com/.

Nice roof tiles and roofs. Isn't that a LOT of work to lay them out?
-
No, I think its easy, the hard part is cutting them and takes long.
In real life you have to do this in the hot sun and takes days. -
To cut down the time just use the mover tool. Copy and move.

This take forever to render and its unfinished.
-
what renderer are you using? and on what settings? its a very simple scene it shoudln't take too long
-
Using Kerkythea and rendering this last one with BiPT.
Others Kerkythea and rendered using MLT. -
ill wait for a kerky expert to pop by then, but does each tree have a separate leaf?
-
If this is an outdoor scene lit only by the sun you should try the Progressive Path Tracing setting. See if that speeds things up.
It also looks like a healthy amount of geometry with the modelled roof tiles and trees. That is probably contributing to the speed.
-
Yes, PPT, using that now. I have to remove also lots of twigs, stems not seen and unnecessary geometry. Will also try reducing translucency on all trees. I tryed pseudo translucency and doesn't look right.

Palm tree and small plant from Gooogle Warehouse.
-
To Mat B: Yes, All trees are using the same leaf.
Here's a front view with the palm. PPT render. I need bushes. Dont like the plant and will check warehouse to see what else they have, there.
-
Couldn't find one but I tried one called Cycas Palm from: http://blender-archi.tuxfamily.org/Greenhouse#European_Oak
Something went wrong and plant looks like it growing something.
