Done, Thank you Guedi
MALAISE

another plugin that does not run on macs...
-
Whenever that plugin is installed I hear a 'beep' from my speakers everytime SU loads. Are you using the Beep method in your code? If so, could you please remove it as it's rather annoying. Especially when I debug my own scripts and hear that beep every time.
-
"SunPath/Choose a day" is operated differently with other setting.
After click SunPath button, I only got one orange line along an axis.Nothing else happen after i click the OK button to close the pop-up setting window.

shirazbj: see my previous post about this subject:
".....download an updated version of STbeta1.rbs and replace the existing file in Plugins/SunTools. ..."http://tx.technion.ac.il/~arrguedi/SunTools/dwnld_after_reg/stdwnld/STbeta1.rbs
This will fix your problem!thomthom: sorry, yes it beeps when SunTools is loaded. I'll remove this beep in the next version.

Sorry for dumb question but what exactly "target tool" does?
In my case the viewer position jumps under the ground (at the same time I get a lot of "Error: #<ArgumentError: Cannot convert argument to Sketchup::Point3d>" in the ruby panel). May be something is wrong? -
rv1974:
Not a dumb question at all!
This tools allows the analysis of solar access in one point (inside or outside buildings).
It presents a view of how your point sees the sky (and the sun), in a way that you can asses in one unique view when that point is lighted (directly) by the sun during the whole year.First, draw the path of the sun using the SunPath Tools.
Second choose Target Tool:
--Look at >> will define the point on the sky that you are looking at. It will be the center of the screen. To start just leave the default [December 12:00], you can rotate your view afterward to see different parts of the sky (see help file).
--Select the point for analysis >> just prepare in advance a point in the space that you would like to check. Inside a building it can be a seating position, if you want to check glare sources; outside buildings it can be an open space, or a solar system....That's it. Let me know if it was clear enough.

Ooops I accidentally skipped the help file on the download page . that's why.. May be you should integrate it into setup.exe?
-
IT IS integrated in the setup.exe. Look at Plugins/SunTools.
Guedi -
I meant may be it should pop up after installation (or I missed it Anyway many thanks!
Another thing. Guedi do you have plans to make the interactive sun (ie moving sun dummy would affect su shadows, thomething like in 3ds max ?) -

Hello
Well I installed the new version of SunTool 2.0 and I get the following plugin starting each time I start Sketchup. Anyone else with this problem.
Ken
-
Me too. Disabled it till it's fixed... Tried to limit it loading via an enclosing ruby but that fails - it's a compiled rbs...
-
Ken and TIG (maybe others with the same issue).
Thanks for the feedback,
It seems like a conflict of names, I'll fix it today, and put an updated version for download.Guedi
