Beautiful! Thanks a lot!

Only one feature you could add is to give the strech tool the ability to make more paralel planes that deform the model, so it can afect more parts of the geometry at the same time.
I thought about it, but then it becomes cumbersome in the UI, and you may not easily reach the expected result.
By the way, 2 tips:-
because Stretching is often just applying an offset, I suggest to call the Dimension box and just type '+100' or '-100' at the end of the current dimension, if your offset is 100. The field supports arithmetic formula.
-
double-clicking on the divider will bring it back to center.

I only have one problem with the stretch tool some times when I strech something even a simple geometry SU freezes and does not respond, and i have to restart SU.
a) Do you apply it to a selection made of embedded components, with several instances (insinde or outside the selection)?
b) Is this something you can reproduce on a given model (if so, can you post it)
to all users: do you encounter similar cases of Freeze?
Thanks
Fredo

Fredo,
You may have just saved me hundreds of hours bending text in SU... much less all the other great things we can think of for these tools....wish you would have sold them thru Smustard, but hope that folks will at least go donate $20 or more to you for this amazing collection.

I second that. Fredo, do you have a paypal account? Or Where can I send you a donation? Thank you!

Hi Matt, there is a donation page - html file with Fredos installation.
Thanks also from me for such a great collection

Ok, thank you!!

Fredo it's genious as always!
Meanwhile I have a lot of unbreakable freezing on stretchig and other tools.
It happens with not over complicated geometry (only one "brick" with a row of simple glued windows onboard).
2/ When I manage to skip su freezing every component inside becomes unique. Could they be treated under the same
definition?
Thank you once more. I really think all those official product managers, evangelists and easy riders shold be embarrassed -

Does it happen, if prior to the transformation you make the all components unique, via the icon command with a pink '1'?@rv1974 said:

Thanks for this, it's an awesome tool!
Stretch alone is a function I will use so much.Fantastic work

quote]Problematic command is called "stretching with orientation of scaling box".Try to stretch a couple of times. Freezing happens with twist tool also.

Here is the link to paypal's site, click on 'send money then insert Fredo's email addy and amount you wish to donate.

It's understandable for twist\bend\melt etc. But why for uniform stretch command?

The stretch command isn't uniform.

And you can use the "moving Plan" for make it Uniform by part
-
Stretching:
F4 to to view the divider plane.
Left click on the divider plane's border to move it parallel to itself.
Double click the divider plane to reset its position to the center of the model.
Right click on the divider plane to have additional (undocumented?) options. -

Still won't be a uniform stretch.

OK "Uniform" is wrong definition. But what hamper to allwindows in bulding #3 to become the same "win1_3" (if say original window in unstreched building#1 is "win1"?
-
Fredo, thank you. The Bend operation is way cool. It even works on unconnected geometry.

That would be nice. Just wondering how easy it is to work out which components remain the same... But if Fredo can solve that I'll make another donation to him.
