I am curious to know if it could be useful in a 'practical' 3D design life.

There are some operations I can think of that cannot be done (at least easily, when not impossible) without using this Ruby.
The first is a bent text (text put on a path) as shown in earlier posts in this thread.
Those letters can be many different things... very promising.
Another possibly new operation is bending entities whose section profiles change along their lengths.
The Ruby can be used as lofting tool or sweep tool. Now we can make curvy legs of certain tables very easily.

In any case, good control on how bending take place is the key. Cannot wait to try it.

                  wonderful.

so many incredible plugins being released. I wonder why some of these obvious ones were not bundled from the start with Sketchup.

Who was that guy back in the 60's or 70's that bent spoons, Gallager? We have Zorro, what about Gallager? 😄

Although a galager script would be a lot of fun - smashing things into a zillion pieces. not a bad idea.....

                                  There is no spoon.

(It's just a computer simulation of a spoon.)

Well, I haven't been able to read too much of the Ruby Forum for a while but as I see,it's the perfet time that I dropped by. This looks really awesome, Fredo, and I am definitely looking forward to it! 👍

One question: will it also bend the texture applied onto the face? Think of an arch for instance where you need the texture of bricks go radially. Something like this (just not so lame hopefully - I did that manually on a fairly low poly arch)

                                      Vsk.jpg

BTW - I still owe you with a translation of a plugin... 😳

                                      Gai...
