There is just a little problem!
Nurbs are not real time! Sometime you must wait the result of some calculates
You have not that with polygons modeler
Despite of that that is a terrific tools when precision is needed

Historically the creator want to make the more ergonomic Nurbs modeler so...

Why have NURBS in Sketchup? Why not just use Bonzai. The two applications where designed with different intention - NURBS or Surface Mesh, fundamental difference in the of that can't be changed by the flick of a switch.

Yea - the beta crashed all the time (not a big surprise for a 0.x beta). But I tried a trial of 1.1 - and I had not those problems then.

Just noticed that they offer this 2.0 release for free for existing 1.x customers.

We have found and fixed quite a few issues since the early beta days of bonzai3d, and it should be a much more mature, stable program now that we have released version 2!
