[Plugin] Set North in Free version

Am I stupid or missing something ?
There's no other way to set the North in GS6_free than loading Google Earth, select the town, capture the view with GE plugin to set Lat/lon coordinates, etc, etc.So here is a little tool to do it without Google Earth, simply enter the north angle relative to the green axis, clockwise. The script will temporarily display the current North if not displayed.
The command is in the "View" menu.Get the latest version from the PluginStore http://sketchucation.com/pluginstore?pln=gs6_north

And what about the localisation?
Is it automatic from the time zone of the computer system or it's not possible on the SU6 free? -

This doesn't really give much helpful information back to the developer. What "doesn't work"? Error message? Unexpected results from usage? Please provide more information when reporting problems - it's is impossible for us ( developers ) to guess what the issue is - could be any number of reasons.

sorry people. i was wondering.
since in the SketchUp 8 Free version it seems that the "set north angle" doesn't work.
unless i missed something there.
that's why i've been wandering around the Plugin Index. looking for something to replace that Pro feature for the Free version.
it's quite tiring now, to set latitude and longitude manually every time and then realising that you need to rotate the whole model to adjust the position for the correct illustration.any info or hint? thank you.

I do not know about Didier's plugin (never used) but yes, Jim's plugin works in SU 8 free, too.

In SU7 free, you could set the north direction (like the plugin does,) which Google then took away in the SU8 free version... it's only available in SU8 pro

i am back. Didier's and Jim's plugin both works well in SketchUp 8!
with Didier's "Set North" i can change the north angle orientation. and
with Jim's "Model Location" i got the full feature of geolocationsorry for rushing around and replying without even checking what others have to say up there. especially Jim's and Fletch's post.
you people couldn't stop to amaze me yet with this forum
i regret those days -erm.. years- without SketchUp 6 and this forumSketchUp 8.0.4811 currently.

Didier has agreed that I might update some of his scripts in the PluginStore.

I am using SU 8 free. I am trying to install a plugin that allows me to change north.
Tried Jim's plugin (http://sketchuptips.blogspot.com/2008/01/plugin-model-location.html), but it requires inputbox.rb which is not available on jim's site.
I get a message "works on free version only" when I tried Didier's pluginAny help greatly appreciated

I you install the latest version of Didier's tool it does NOT give a message box with that message !
Please get the RBZ that contains the latest version from the Download link button in the recent post [or even the first post] - it's in the SCF PluginStore !
The old RB file in the first post IS out of date [as it says]...The new version works in all SketchUp versions...

Hi, great tool, but...
Im using last version available in PlayOnLinux tool which is Google Sketchup 8.0.15158 free.
After installation plugin works.
But from first restart of application it allways show:
"Error Loading File gs6_north.rb
undefined method `file_loaded?' for DBUR:Module"I must erase plugin manualy. And each time I wont set north, Im installing plugin, setting and then erasing.
