You won't be able to import an imported dwg/dxf...not unless you explode it first and fill the faces in.

It might be easier to simply trace over the top of an unexploded import. You ought to find that the Line tool snaps to the ends of lines quite easily.

You can import them if they are downloaded from 3DWarehouse.
You need to klik import and set the extensionbar on the right extension.
Then you need to click on the place where you want to put your model in your existing scene.

Yes, currently there's a glitch with this in SU. You cannot bring these components into your current document (although you should be able to). The "workaround" is to download them - in this case a new instance of SU will open - click on the component, copy it and switching to your other (previously open) document, paste it in. (And I only hope you are just talking about "images" accidentally for otherwise I don't know what you are talking about.)

OR you can save it anywhere and then import the model as a component through the File > Import > 3D model menu. I actually always use this option since I browse the WareHouse with my internet browser (Firefox) rather than using the built in browser (IE).

Make a face "on the floor" and tile it.
