I get this same behavior. It looks like SU uses a custom font dialog for this - not sure why they don't use the system default. I tried changing fonts using two methods: by just selecting the text, pressing Command-T for the font selection dialog, and making changes therein - nothing happens. Second method was using the model info window and utilizing the "select all screen text" and "update selected text" buttons - again with no effect.

Weird; on my macbook I can do filled text ok but I do have the non-responsive font dialogue. except that I can type a font size value in the top-right field.

          and move the slider also.

                  Hi Everyone,

Sorry for the late response on this topic.

The Font problem is a known issue with Leopard using the 3D Text Tool.

Here are a couple of other gotchas...All the problems are being worked on as I type and we hope to have this problems resolved soon.

It is not only 3D Text Tool, it is ALL Text tolls !!!
Hum... I hate a response which is off the matter. Feels like a quick "get it off my desk".

                      Hi Guys,

Though I'm on Windows, I know that most recent maintenance release 4 covered some issues with Leopard.
Could you download and install and check back whether the problem still exists?

Hmm, I have that same version and although I can set the font and size of 3D text I can't do anything with dimensional or other text; the font dialogue is simply ignored and attempting to use the context menu and the font->styles option just makes a chirp.
