FredoScale Compatibility issues with SU 2026

Re: [Plugin][$] FredoScale - v3.6a - 01 Apr 24
In SketchUp 2026, when using the Box Stretching tool, pressing the "TAB" key no longer opens the dimension string entry dialog as expected. This behavior worked in previous versions and appears to be broken in the current release.

If you open the Ruby Console while invoking the tool it might provide clues.
Also, sharing if you are Windows/Mac.
I presume you are using recent updated versions of both Libfredo and FredoScale?
I can invoke the TAB panel without issue on SU2026 with no errors in Ruby Console.

Same issue here. It stopped working suddenly.

Same here.

Unless there is more info it's really difficult to deduce the issue.
Box Stretching only displays the Dimensions box if you hover a handle. It needs to know the direction of the Stretch to be able to allow the user to input values.

When working in SketchUp 2026, we are experiencing the same issue. We use several computers with full licenses. After pressing TAB, a window should open. On some computers, the window opens after pressing TAB several times, while on other computers it does not open at all. All plugins are kept up to date. When using SketchUp 2025, there is no problem.

There is a general problem with the TAB key in SU2026. The Tab key is not sent after a few hits. This concerns mainly Windows, but other weird problems have been detected on Mac.
The issue was logged to the Sketchup team. So, we'll probably have to wait for SU2026.2.
On my side, I logged the problem with the following video.
