how to install an extension to Sketchup Pro 2016
-
Looking for help on how to install this plugin --- Ithil: Convert File Version v1 --- to my 2016 Sketchup Pro. I'm trying to open drawings from my 2017 make to 2016 Pro version.
I believe this plug in is for this purpose. I can't remember how since there is no Extension Manager in the 2016 version. If someone can walk me through it as I'm not computer savvy. Thanks John -
Find your version's Plugins folder.
Open it.
Extract the contents of the RBZ [ZIP] for the extension/plugin.
The resultant folder should contain a .RB file, and possibly a subfolder of the same name.
Copy the .RB file and subfolder into your Plugins folder.
Restart SketchUp to load the .RB file... follow the instructions on the extension's usage... -
thank you, Do you know if there is another plugin that will allow me to export my models in OBJ format using my 2017 Sketchup make?

If all you want to do is open in 2016 a model you created in SketchUp 2017, why do you want to create an OBJ file in the first place? What's wrong with using File>Save As ... in SketchUp 2017 and selecting SketchUp 2016?

well that worked, where you been all my life, thank you
