Best wishes for the 2024 Christmas Season!

Hi All
First Advent - Just in time for the start of the 2024 Christmas season, I wish you all a wonderful Christmas season with this nutcracker and have a good time...
[completely done with native SketchUp 2023 Pro / the hair and beard are made with Make Fur Plugin / only the walnut is taken from the 3D Warehouse: https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/.../898798a4-6a88.../Walnut
The image shown is also native SkethUp export, but overlaid with an Enscape render to get a slight sheen to the surfaces and edited in Affinity Photo 2]

@HornOxx Love that. Now animate it with Animator

@Rich-O-Brien Thanks and I'm happy to comply with your request with this silly chewing rotation - luckily there's not really much to animate with a guy like that. And if I would move the arms for example, it would look very strange, at least from my point of view from here

@HornOxx I like it, would be kind of neat if you could make him walk.

I wanted to add a small note about the used plugin Make Fur by Tak2hata:
When I used this Plugin many years ago when it was released, it worked fine as it was intended to do, but it regularly caused the programme to break completely due to the lack of affordable hardware resources at the time. I completely lost sight of this tool.
Well I reinstalled it for this nutcracker for the first time in years (more out of curiosity) and was almost amazed that it was still available and more importantly that it now ran completely smoothly on the latest hardware and software.
Since today's hardware requirements are significantly better than what I was using back then, this tool runs great and fast and delivers excellent results...
So, thanks to the plugin developer!SketchUp Plugins | PluginStore | SketchUcation

Hi All
As elsewhere in this forum, where JoKe presents breathtakingly good results with the new Nano Banana AI image generation tool Modelling a tramway, I am also playing around with this tool and consider it a real milestone in AI-supported image generation, particularly due to its outstanding model consistency.
This test example, as strange as it may seem at first glance, required only two prompts and a waiting time of about 8 seconds. But since I made this nutcracker myself, Nano Banana did not overlook or misinterpret the smallest detail of my model template.
[This whole AI-thing is still somewhat ambivalent for me, a mixture of fascination and βwhat on earth is going on here?!?β]

the workflow is currently changing rapidly.
Today I needed a quick view of a table and a cabinet for my customer. Instead of sending it to twinmotion I send it to AI.
Twinmotion would have taken 0,5 hour, AI took 30 seconds with a similar result.

I have no doubt what you said is true, but it makes me sad. I did my first play with a song creating AI program today the result was pretty amazing. Wild wild West ATM
