So, has anyone watched this Keynote?

@nlipovac Its that time of year for major update, late q4 or early q1, so showcasing to paying attendees would be a good strat
-
@Rich-O-Brien, definitely showcasing it, and they are all in on AI and AI assistants in SU so they are doing damage control if there is any backlash on that.
But that rendering ability is something I am promising to my student for so long I am happy that this time is true. -
As long as Sketchup keeps working in the manner it always has give or take some wonky new icons. Primary being that plugins keeps working. The only AI I use now is minimal in D5 Render. I use Sketchup to draw. Whether it be a house or a locomotive. I could keep using Sketchup Pro 2022 until I go belly up.

Rich,
Everyone could use a good Stratocaster.

@nlipovac disastrous.. they totally forgot its a modeling software - zero improvements, just keep on adding collaborative\AI crap no one needs

@rv1974 Could not agree more

@L-i-am Hopefully they'll retain a consistent UI with 2025. I have no interest in the collaborative and AI features. I'll stick with my SU and D5 Render workflow.
The key will be if SU retains its usefulness as a modeling software including the operability of plugins. I'd like to provide them input but I think it would go in one ear and out the other.
I'd be happy if they left SU 2022 Pro alone but they're going to end geo location and 3D Warehouse features for "security reasons." I don't really use those much. Eventually I can see a complete "end of life" for 2022.
If they left SU 2025 pretty much as it is with 2024 and just fixed the icons I'd be content.
