How do we get rid of pointless AI posts that are always thrown in your face as New Posts or Recent posts when you know they are irrelevant gibberish that should be deleted but they are so resource intensive that you can't even click on them to ignore them. It was 28 pages...

I'm also finding this message somewhat tempting at the same time as disturbing. Must be one drink away from something either way.

        Is it really this easy?
        brave_D3Izotltyy.png

Can you try this on the threads you want to ignore?

@box didn't you have like 50,000 reputation points before the upgrade?

Is there a block feature? I wouldn't use myself but its there.

Its also relatively easy to just not visit a thread you know is filled with content you don't like.

@TIG Indeed I have but I cannot find anything that allows me to block/mute/hide a specific thread.

I don't see a block. I see it is possible to Block a user, but that isn't what I want.

Yes yes you are correct I don't have to visit such threads, but I also don't feel the need to even see it every day in the list of new posts.

@Box Ok, after some research on the capability, besides block, to handle such scenarios where a user wants to not see content of another user. Natively there's no way to handle this.

But there is a plugin with an ignore feature that does have this behavior but it is not compatible with the version of software we are running.

So it is possible with work on our end. I'm not keen to kneejerk reactions when the easier solution is to eyeroll in the comfort of your home.

But after a deeper look I saw this...
                    brave_NPejNTI38y.png
...but it only works at Category level so you do not see that category in your feed. Which is a amputation when you need a sticky plaster.

We'll look at the Ignore plugin and see what's involved to get it working. But that's on the long finger

Another option is an AI category where those that like that stuff are free to graze and those that want to opt out are free to grumble. Don't forget there is this too...
                    brave_Xo6WCj5sZt.png
...which allows a user easily raise an in issue with content they feel is noise rather than a contribution.

I've set this thread to unsolved so I can revisit when/if there's solution.

@Rich-O-Brien D'oh! I should have found that myself. It is available and I use it on other forums but I didn't expect to find it in that spot.
Thanks Rich, you can take the unsolved off.

@Rich-O-Brien The only way I can know that for sure is to be someone else and see what I am not seeing. So if you are seeing the thread in question, im pretty sure know the one, then yes it worked.
I know why I didn't originally try this method, in the old forum software I couldn't open that thread any more due to the massive number of resourse draining images so I didn't try here. But it opened easily when I did try in the new software. So that was a good test.

That's my https://community.sketchucation.com/recent and I've no Ignore set

And yes, we did ask for sensible embed numbers as it was severe page loading times.
