      Thanks.

Looks like one you have posted as an animation before. πŸ˜„

This is the first time I've modeled this engine. I only found the book with the plan in it yesterday. I've modeled and animated other steam engines, though.

Another steam engine from the same book.

The dimes are for scale. They look thick to me but that's the thickness given on the website for the US Mint.

I guess it is if you like little steam engines.

                Those are great!

Elmer's Engines book is $988 on Amazon in hardback!

We had ModelTec mags in school for our tec/eng class. It was filled with those drawings for little engines.

There's a engineering company in UK that makes gorgeous little engines and other bits

Thanks Rich. Fortunately I didn't have to pay that much for the book.

Those are some beautiful Stirling engines. I modeled one about a year ago but I'd love to model one of those.

                    Another nice/interesting one. πŸ‘

BTW: Did you draw the coin or get it from somewhere? Interesting that it says 2025. πŸ˜„

I modeled the coin myself. (I never use anyone else's models.) The face is a texture created with an image from the US Mint's website. It actually says 2023, not 2025.

Ooops! I should have blown it up more. 😞

Would you mind sharing how you did it (in other words, educate me)? I did not think an image from their web site would look that much like a 3D image. I have not done any modeling for a while so I think I am falling behind. 😞

I'll make a thread in the Tutorials category. FWIW, the 3D-ness is due to the way the coin was illuminated for the original photo.
