Object wireframe
-
Hello dear sketchucators.
I was unable to find a proper plugin for applying custom styles to object. What I mean is this:I am working with xref of floor plans and I am switching in and out all the time. Is there a plugin that would let me choose which objects I want to see as wireframe, so that I see the lines through other objects even if I'm in standard shaded style..?
Thx -
Styles are global. But FredoGhost allows you to target on a per object state.

Hi Rich. Thanks for the suggestion, but I´m afraid its not exactly what I was looking for. Correct me if I´m wrong, but with fredo ghost you can assign styles to particular objects. My idea was actually quite opposite. I thought the attribute would be assigned to one object and make it visible through all the others as wireframe.

Your profile says you are using SketchUp 2016 Free/Make. Is that correct?
It would be a simple thing to show some objects in your model in wireframe while others are not using LayOut.

maybe add some keystrokes to the preferences to switch between hidden line, x-ray, and wireframe - e.g. ctrl+alt+H, ctrl+alt+X, ctrl+alt+W -- caveat you need to switch to a solid to get out of wireframe (so i use hidden line and then i can use x-ray again) (and toggling x-ray yields a full solid vs x-ray
)
