[Plugin] Geodesic Dome Creator 0.2.0

Thanks again. The vertices display alone makes this plugin awesome. I was pulling my hair out a few months ago trying to model what you've enabled in a plugin.
I'm sure you know, but the 'strut' radius option doesn't work. It'd be nice to see the settings previously input within the menu upon returning, not sure if this is doable.
Just starting some test renders now of my geodesic's interior!

It semms like a great tool

Help. Pressing generate doesn't do anything. I tried using sketchup 2013 pro, 2014 pro, and 2015 pro. Still doesn't work. Please help. Thank you.

The plugin's home page https://sites.google.com/site/sugeodesic/download
says it's been tested for v2015 compatibility.
Have you installed the latest version ?I did [in v2015] and tested it...
It has a number of issues.
It must be installed in the default Plugins folder - it uses Sketchup.find_support_file... inappropriately and prevents a custom install...
It also requires [my] SKMtools to be installed, if you are adding materials to the geometry...
But it doesn't work even if it is there !
With the Ruby Console open it says it's doing things but makes nothing !
Stops at 'platonic handler... about to send
' ??On looking into the coding...
It has unbelievably convoluted Ruby and HTML/JS callbacks, and although I neither have the time or will to debug it properly I can see it has some errors in thecall_ruby("create_geodesic", 1);
calls in the JS etc.I have managed to hack the code to force it to 'draw' something, but this is silly...
Many pieces are made 'inside-out', some are not made and the Materials are all 'black' and corrupted/un-editable [screenshot is with all 3 materials deleted!]...Can I suggest you pester the author directly through his web-site...
It ought to work a lot easier than it does right now...
It has a lot of potential...

It doesn't even work at all. Press generate, nothing happens. It's a bit frustrating. I'll try contacting the author. Thank you for the reply.

The author hasn't logged into Sketchucation since 2016. I expect they haven't updated their plugin to work with newer versions of SketchUp. You'd probably be time and effort ahead to use an alternative.
Speaking of versions, what version of SketchUp are you using. You put 2018 Free/Make in your forum profile but there is no such version.

You can still get it from the Wayback Machine (archive) at this link.
Whether or not he still wants it shared is unknown to me. I just tested it on SU 2022 Pro and it works.

Getting it to make faces for the glass may prove difficult. You can try it if you're using an older version of Sketchup since the SKM plugin is 13 years old. Didn't work for me. You can get that here: click on Tรฉlรฉchargement.
