Creating a face
-
Hi all...
Am hoping this is fairly pedestrian and some body can send me to a pre existing answer..
Not everything in life is orthogonal...
I have made several attempts at creating a face that does not align with the orthogonal axes in SU, but mirrors the terrain imported via a TIN file from the surveyor...
I thought I had a work around with the freehand tool, but in a 3D environment, while you may be following some guide lines, SU is merrily drawing a face in it's own plane...
What to do....?
thanks,
Stuart.

You cannot draw on a surface in SketchUp using native tools. Fredo's ToolsonSurface extension has that ability.

Not sure how long the trial is but definitely enough to see if it is what you need.
Make sure to install our own Sketchucation Tools first....

the LibFredo...

then...

Got all that, thanks...
I may be suffering from my version (SU8) though...
Can install the sketchucation plugin, but nothing appears in the program.
Likewise with Toolsonsurface...I do already have LibFredo installed and Fredo tools, among other things.
I found version 1.8 of the Toolsonsurface, as a zip file. Followed the premise of unzipping and copying to the plugins folder, but again, never appears in the program...
I have a sense that it all ends here...
Thanks for chiming in all the same...
