Can't get Curviloft to work - tried fixes found in forum!
-
Hi,
I downloaded Curviloft to trial but I cant get it to work. It does nothing at all. Tested on a basic circle to circle joined by curve, it doesnt want to mark the paths or anything.
Installed, in order, Sketchucation licence, Fredo, Curviloft. Restarted.
See screenshots.
Is it not available under free membership for a trial? Thanks in advance for any help!

What is the radius of the circles and arc?

You have to have the latest version of the SketchUcation Toolset installed - this also includes the latest licensing code etc.
You also need to have installed the latest version of LibFredo...
After the installation restart SketchUp to sync everything...
try again and see if that's helped... -

Is this not what I have? See screenshot of extensions manager, SCF licence + Sketchucation? Or is there another one I need too?
I downloaded all the latest versions on Friday, installed and restarted, tried 3 times no reslut.

Have tried with various shapes and sizes, and varying number of segments, doesnt even react to select the line

Could you open the Ruby console before launching Curviloft to check if there are error messages displayed.

Hi, yes as per screenshot above. Just tested again, says exactly same thing.
I've run through all faultfinding I could find on this forum, it looks like its correctly installed and everthing is there, but it just doesn't react. Not sure what else I could test. Could there be any SU setting that can block usage of plugin?

Your screenshot doesn't show the Extension-Manager dialog's versions for those extensions [use the down-arrow button the expand details]
The licensing dialog shows an out of date version of the licensing software in the dialog.
It should be showing at least 5.7a in the top left corner of the licensing dialog.
You will get this version with the latest SketchUcation toolset [>=v4.2.8] installed, so suggests you are not up to date...
https://sketchucation.com/pluginstore?pln=SketchUcationToolsYou also need the latest Lib Fredo installed... the error-message suggests you have an older version ? [currently it's v12.9]
https://sketchucation.com/pluginstore?pln=LibFredo6Install those two extension sets again and restart SketchUp to sync everything, then retest the licensing...
PS: I'm also assuming that you have got the latest versions of CurviFoft etc installed ?

Thank you for your reply
Ok so I deleted all extensions, downloadad all again and reinstalled, still nothing unfortunately
(I think the latest version was on there earlier, said 5.7, must have done the screenshot before I updated it)

This is a problem related to LibFredo6, not to the licensing.
Could you open the Ruby console and type
G6B
. It should answer just G6B, or an error if there is a problem. -
Fredo
I have no problems like those reported here.
BUT if I type G6B in the Ruby Console the result is
G6B
Error: #<NameError: uninitialized constant G6B>
<main>:in<main>' SketchUp:in
eval'
=> nil
i.e. not as you described... -
TIG,
Sorry for that. You need to launch one of my plugins first.
Most of the code in my plugins load on demand.
-
I confirm that if I first initialize the CurviLoft tool and immediately type G6B in the Ruby Console it returns that again, with no further messages...

Could you
- go to menu Window > LibFredo6 Settings... > View Trace Log file.
- In the list of traces, expand it all (click on green + button)
- Look for statements in Red.
- There should be one about "LibFredo6: loaded Binary". Could you tell me what it says.
