Stanley 4 1/2 Plane
-
Well got the body casting finishedβ¦.. I think. Ohhβ¦. did I mention the plane has a corrugated sole ?
-
Thanks Bryan, Thanks Mike. Everyone should hold off on the βgreatβ comments until I get this thing finished ! Might get frustrated and throw it in the trash . Just doing it for a little change of pace. It will patiently wait in the parts bin. Might get used at some point or it might just take up a little drive space collecting dust.

Handle and knob in place...... now for the the frog ..... yippee !!!!!
-
-
Excellent.
-
Nice
-
Thanks gentlemen
-
The frog is done ! Hooray ! Down to the small bits and threading the machine screws
-
Oopsβ¦.. forgot the knurling on the adjustment knobβ¦.. me badβ¦.. here it is !
-
Got the hold-down screw for the lever cap done. In the process noticed I forgot a couple of casting recesses in the bottom side of the frog ! I suspect there is going to be a lot of going back for things I missed.
-
OK. Someone had to say it. Can we see the hidden geometry? Hungry for more!
-
pbacot , you asked for it...... might wear you out with this mess !
-
Excellent! Very sharp model. You've really been honing your skills.
-
Thanks Dave. Hardest part has been getting the measurements off the original !
-
I magine that is a challenge. Especially with castings.
-
Dave , should have also mentioned I had to watch your βscrew thread β tutorial about eight times before I could make a reasonable looking machine screw .
-
So I must have missed some detail?
Nice threads, by the way.

No you missed nothing. Iβm just a little slow at times
-
Ahh.... Well, that's not all bad.

On the downhill side of this. All parts are modeled ( I think ) . Beveling edges now... Here's an image to make your eyes cross... X RAY !
